The Rose Clock Children

In a town that asks every child for one name and gives them a form with a single box, Elowen Vale finds a yellow rose blooming in the frost and hears two words from nowhere: not one.

She follows a black cat with golden eyes to the Rose Clock above Market Square — and soon there are three girls, Clara, Rowan and June, who all remember being Elowen. The town’s records, her mother and the Clock itself want one answer. The three of them set out to find a fourth way.
